I'm currently reading a book that I cannot recommend enough - "Naimisha: God's Own Story - The Beginning" by Sesha. I'm on page 90, and the book is really good so far!
This book delves into the mysteries of the forest of Naimisha and the birth of Lord Krishna. Animish belongs to the ashram of a mysterious Master in the forest of Naimisha whose antecedents, ideologies, and even name are shrouded in secrecy. When he hears a voice from the skies warning the antagonist, Kamsa, of his nemesis, who will be born to his sister Devaki, Animish sets out on a lifelong quest of following Shri Krishna and discovering the truth.
Set in the period B.K. 10, a decade before Krishna was born, this book offers a refreshing and captivating retelling of the birth of Lord Krishna and the world that surrounded him. The story of Animish runs parallel to the story of Shri Krishna, Pandavas, and Kauravas, taking the readers on a thrilling journey that will leave them hooked.
The author does not claim the book to be 100% historically accurate and mentions that there are already Vedvyasa's beautifully written original texts for that purpose. However, Sesha has added a bit of fictional drama to the text to make it more exciting while maintaining respect for the original works.
I highly recommend picking up your copy of "Naimisha: God's Own Story - The Beginning" by Sesha. The best part? You can join me in reading this book for absolutely free for a limited time.
