To read a book or scriptures just to expand your vocabulary is of no use unless you understand its meaning.
Autobiography of a yogi is a detailed and honest account by Paramahansa Yogananda of his childhood and his experience with the beloved Master Sri Sri Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri disciple of Sri Sri Lahiri Mahasaya of Benaras.
The worldly opportunity at his galore did not prevent young YOGANANDA inspite of early failed attempts to seek divine blessing, to finally find his true Master in Sri Sri Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri.
The time he spent at his master hermitage will transform him completely from being like us to attain SWAMI ORDER through initiation of KRIYA YOGA.
The discipline and teachings he earned at his Masters abode were sprinkled to the larger world, even refining the EAST-WEST dilemma, taking into account the benifit of material advancement of the west with that of Spiritual significance of the east.
I thought alot, that would I be able to do justice to write a review of a book written over a period of fifty years and of a man reverred world over not only for his wisdom but for his significant contribution to the Spiritual upliftment of countless many, later, I decided to write it, as AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI, had profound impact on me, so it would have on others who read it.
