AUDIO OF THE TEXT :
How often we have seen as ORGANIZATION grows larger it disintegrates into smaller faction digressing from it’s Mission for which it was originally created, but it is not the same with RSS- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, one of the world’s largest organization.
In RSS 360- Demystifying Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the author explains how in 1925, Dr.K.B.Hedgewar just with a group of young boys in open ground found an organization which has not only grown in numbers over its nine decades of existence but also remained united even in times of crisis for the sole purpose to serve selflessly the society, preserve the culture and tradition of Bharat, and Nation building.
In subsequent chapters, the author details about the Need to organise and unite Hindus(the Hindu, according to author has broader connotation , one with Indic tradition), the importance of Shakha(local branch) , festivals in inculcating values, organizational structure of RSS, the role of prachaarak and Supremacy of Mission over Self.
It is true that how simple living and high thinking, which is visible in every action of RSS, can augment you towards acheiving anything possible.
As the organization evolved, with broader purpose to serve the large section of society, the various affiliated organisation was founded like, ABVP(Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad), BJP(initially, Bharatiya Jana Sangh), BMS(Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh), Rashtra Sevika Samiti, VHP(Vishwa Hindu Parishad), Vanvasi kalyan Ashram, Saraswati Shishu Mandir..to name few important one.
The book is neither exhaustive nor superficial, the author has maintained a fine balance between this and made sure the reader gets to know what is necessary and important.
